Kubilay Sezerel
who has his roots
comes from a musician
family was born
in Istanbul. After
he graduated from
the primary school,he
started to the
full time Music
Department of
Istanbul University
State Conservatory
in 1983. He had
various classes
from the most
valuable and precious
teachers through
out of Turkey
such as solfege
and harmony class
with Doç.Dr.Mine
Mucur,advanced
classical harmony
and formation
informations class
with Prof.Dr.
Emel Çelebioğlu,music
composition class
with Dr. Mete
Sakpınar,piano
class with Dr.Süreyya
Baraz,trumpet
class with Doç.Dr.
Altuğ Öztunç.Sezerel
graduated from
the Trumpet Division
of Brass Department
of the conservatory
with a most successful
bachelor's degree
in 1995.

Besides the classical
education during
the high school
years, Sezerel
started to get
interested in
jazz music and
by then he took
his first steps
into his jazz
career working
with the most
well-known and
successful jazz
musicians of Turkey
in the most famous
jazz clubs. In

In
1998, Sezerel
had a scholarship
given by French
Consulate in Istanbul
to participate
in a musical project
consists of a
series of musical
concerts and workshops
in Strasbourg.He
released a concert
album which consists
of the works he
performed together
with the musicians
who shared the
same stage with
him in Strasbourg.Sezerel
returned to his
country from France
with the honour
of representing
his country with
an admirable success.

After all, Sezerel
decided to continue
his education in
abroad. He attended
to an audition in
Paris which was
organised by Berklee
College of Music
with his own compositions
in 1999 and he got
the scholarship
of Special European
Scholarship For
International Students
and was given the
right to register
the Berklee College
of Music,in Boston,U.S.A.. |

During his education
in Berklee, Music
Production and
Contemporary Writing
Department,he
had the opportunity
to work with the
most valuable
teachers of the
music world such
as Prof.Frank
Carlberg in piano
class,Dan Moretti
and Bernardo Hernandez
in arrangement
class,Anne Peacham,
Gabrielle Goodman
and Adriana Balic
in vocal class.

Since
1998 Kubilay Sezerel
has still been
carrying on Latin
Dance classes
and stage coreography
classes with the
most well-known
dance trainers
Arif Alaşan
and Alper Alakut.

Sezerel,who has
a vast vision
of his stage performance
as a big "
show",has
still been sharing
his 22 years experience
in classical and
contemporary music
with his audience
as a "singer",
"pianist",
"composer",
"trumpeter",
"dancer";
and been continuing
his successful
concerts with
his owned named
bands in and out
of the country.
